yeah, yeah, corny name I know...
Original render @ 1280x1024, best settings possible in bryce, any loss is blamed on PS, because I had to resize& compress...
Ummmm....based on an old piece I made on my iBook, but lost when I transferred to the G5 I´m writing on now....plus I added a few elements. Might UL another version later.
Wow..this is very beautiful. I love the whole water effect, and how the orb sits off to one side and isn't the center of the picture. It still attracts your attention, however.

What program do you make this in? If PS means photo shop, thats crazy. This is really awesome but i have no idea if it takes a few seconds to make (some 3d program) or if it takes days and days. excuse my ignorance. I really like it alot though and I'm pretty curious to know how long it takes to come up with something like this, what programs are used, and how many layers it takes, etc, etc... Awesome deviation!
This was made in Bryce 5 Beta...it didn´t take too long to set up, I had the idea left from an older version, and that was really just put together in a few minutes of experimentation.....the shields are just two boolean groups with three objects each, built up only of spherical shapes, and all other objects are just tweaked a bit, with terrains slapped on, save for the ring, which is made up of two boolean 2d discs. Raendering ws another thing, since I pulled up all settings to the highest....apprx. 5 hrs to render I think...
So, to answer your question, it took 1 day in total, counting experimental renders.
Glad you liked it ~_^

I've met many so-called artists who, through their poor art, become more popular than the real artists and make them lose their confidence. Therefore, I decided to protest by excellence using the methods, to do something for the great artists who have something to say but who are underrated because of the huge amount of poor "art". The cake is no lie, but there is no spoon.
I love the colours, and the specks in the foreground. The water is perfect.
